1991 - 1995

PROSE has performed the project management for the development of the modern running gears and the innovative electro-mecanic tilting system for railway vehicles. Based on the good results with the tests the Swiss railway-industrie received the order of the Swiss Federal Railway for the design and supply of 24 Inter-City tilting trains.
Running dynamic measurements on the test vehicle were performed by the SLM-Measuring Group (today part of PROSE Ltd.).

PROSE Engineers developed the concept for the new personnel transport vehicle for the tunnel from Guttannen to Handeck of the power plant Oberhasli. As subcontractor of Stadler PROSE has provided the traction system for all three vehicles.

PROSE commisssioned with the development and design of the innovative single-axle running gears and the articulation system for the low floor LRV for New Jersey and San Jose. About 150 vehicles are successfully in operation.

Realising
PROSE performed the technical evaluation of the proposals for the 2nd class coaches for Israel Railways. All technical elements (with exception of the purchase price) had been assessed by a systematic process according to the method of Kepner Tregoe). This evaluation was the basis for the final contract negotiations and the selection of the supplier.
37 of these modern coaches are the backbone of the Intercity traffic.

Realising
PROSE was commissioned by SIG with the project management for the development of the principal concept of the 6-axle power coach with 3 bogies, type mDDM. A number of alternatives for the bogie concepts and bogie arrangement under the coach have been prepared and assessed.
The results of the study enabled NS to prepare the tender documentation and to purchase the vehicles.
